The Eurail pass gives you unlimited train travel in Europe for weeks, or even longer. Save even more with regional and national rail passes focusing on one specific part of Europe. Great discounts for youth, seniors and even small groups.
With the Eurail pass, you can experience Europe without worrying about the travel cost. You buy the Eurailpass, you get to the train on time, and that’s it. The pass is valid for weeks if you want to, and you can travel through all the countries on your pass without paying anything extra.
A Consecutive pass is your most convenient choice if you intend to travel almost every day. To avoid paying for days when you stay in one place, consider a Flexipass with a limited number of “travel days” within a designated period.
For travelers under 26 or over 59 years of age, youth passes and senior passes offer additional discounts.
The Eurail Network

The Eurail network includes Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, the Republic of Ireland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
If you also wish to visit the United Kingdom, you can add a separate Britrail pass. Learn more about the Britrail pass at our sister site BritrailForAll.com (opens in a new window).
Eurail discount options
For even greater savings, you can sacrifice just a little bit of traveling freedom and choose one of the Eurail discount options:
- The Eurail Flexipass offers either 10 or 15 travel days within a 2-month period, allowing you to stop for extended periods between journeys.
- The Eurail Selectpass lets you limit your journey to up to five bordering Eurail countries.
- The Eurail Regional Passes entitle you to travel within two bordering countries.
- The Eurail National Passes allow unlimited train travel in Finland, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain or Sweden.
Many of the Eurail passes come with the Saverpass option for group discounts when 2-5 people are traveling together.
Eurail and Britrail
The United Kingdom is not part of the Eurail network. If you wish to travel by train through both the UK and other parts of Europe, you should consider buying a separate Britrail pass. Learn more about Britrail at our sister site BritrailForAll.com (opens in a new window).
The Republic of Ireland is part of both Eurail and Britrail. If you intend to travel only within Ireland, buy a Eurail Ireland pass. If your journey goes through both Ireland and mainland Europe (but not the United Kingdom) consider a Eurail Selectpass.
For travel in both Ireland and the United Kingdom, your best choice is the Britrail + Ireland pass. Learn more about the Britrail + Ireland pass at our Britrail site BritrailForAll.com (opens in a new window).
